Believe it or not, all the building materials packed inside the RV!

The first step was to build the kitchen counter, where all the snow cones are made.

Then the frame is built at attached to the counter and trailer. The framed area on the counter is a bracket and strap to hold the snow cone machine tight in place.

Here's Stuart attaching the roof to the frame. Not complete shade, but it sure was nice having a little cover all week while making snow cones in the desert. The big pink box holds a water container, soap dispenser and water basin to form the hand washing station that's required by the Nevada temporary food service heath regulations. Robin really needed it to be pink!

Looks like we didn't take pictures of installing the 4 plant art platforms and umbrella onto the car. Anyway, with both the car and trailer built, here is it ready to go visit the Burning Man DMV Hotties.

They loved the car. Maybe they give these stickers to everyone, but it sure felt cool.

We will add battery capacity to run additional lights and operate the ice shaver. Will be able to recharge the batteries (if not directly from a gasoline engine) from generators already present in our camp.
The body of the cart will be extended out around the core vehicle such that the overall size will be approximately 6' wide by 10' long (a standard golf cart is approximately 4' wide and 8' long).
The cart will be transported on a small trailer to/from the event in a stripped down configuration (to prevent the possibility of moop during the 500 mile trip from Portland). The final assembly of the shell to the vehicle frame will be performed after arrival on the playa. Those same pieces will be disassembled and return to Portland with us.
We're looking at having a small trailer to carry supplies for the production of snow cones (ice, syrup, etc). The trailer will be decorated similarly to the vehicle itself. At this stage of planning, the trailer is not intended for passengers and will be used only to carry needed supplies. The trailer base will either be the trailer that the base vehicle itself is transported on (approximately 5' by 9' - this will be the case if the base vehicle has enough horsepower to pull the trailer) or a heavy-duty wagon (approximately 2' by 3'). The trailer will not be used at night.

Update: Robin & Paul visited Barbur Rentals - their snow cone machine was measured, 21 by 15 inches table space required. Approx 17 inches tall (area above must be clear to allow dumping ice into the grinder).
Either 6 or 8 speakers (Paul's collection of used speakers....), max total power about 30 watts.
Idea is to create a good quality ambient sound to complement and enhance the art. Should not sound "loud". The music is only intended to be heard by people standing close by, hopefully enjoying a refreshing snow cone. Emphasis on good quality sound, not high volume!
