Safety considerations - Notes from April 24th "meeting" at Portland City Grill (happy hour):
Stuart has a fire extinguisher to put on the car (even though we aren't going to have any fire/flame effects).

13- (About the mutation) This is a mutant vehicle as it will resemble a
tropical oasis drifting across the desert, not like any vehicle. ...
14- (Intent) To provide a tropical relief from the desert and to serve
cool tasty treats to the general community.

31- (Design Safety) We are building from an existing golf cart frame to
utilize the existing propulsion, braking, and other systems. The
structures added will be simple, providing only art and the snow cone
making area. We are hoping to be able to two a small trailer during the
day, to carry additional supplies to make snow cones (mostly coolers
filled with more ice). The trailer would only be licensed and used
during the day, when it can be easily seen.
32- (Operating Procedures) Seating is limited to 3/4 passengers (4-max,
might end up only being 3). The vehicle will not offer general
transportation to people. The ice shaver will not be operated while
driving. There will be a designated driver assigned for each day of the
event who will not drink. Occupants will be seated anytime the vehicle
is moving (there is no standing room). More specific detail will be
available on the website.
33- (Enter/Exit Procedures) The vehicle will come to a complete stop for
any riders to enter/exit - since carrying passengers is not the purpose
of the vehicle and since there is no standing space on the vehicle, this
shouldn't be much of an issue.
34- (Lighting) Project a blue "pool" of light simulating water around
the vehicle to more closely resemble an island. Strategically places
lights (blacklights?) around the vehicle to clearly illuminate the oasis
in a unique and breathtaking way. Headlights will be used at night when
the vehicle is in motion.
35- (Flame Effects) No
36- (Combustibles) Yes
