The Tiki Ice Bar can hold supplies for about 1000 to 1500 snow cones per trip. That 8-12 gallons of syrup and 5 to 8 boxes of 200 cups.

The two coolers can hold about 16 bags of ice. That's not enough for 1000 cones, but we can easily return to Arctica for more ice.

Food Serving Permit

The temporary food service permit for 2006:

We were inspected out on the playa, and passed with 100% (large image).

Gifting

Nearly all the ice we needed was gifted by people who had our snow cones. What a great gift indeed, as the ice was about half of the total consumable cost.

Many people also gave us little gifts. Some gave us food and beer, which was so incredibly good at the end of a long afternoon making snow cones almost continuously!

There were many, many other little gifts. Here's a photo of the gifts from three of the five days we served snow cones.

MOOP Issues

Going to use all-paper cups (no wax), and provide paper trash bags for people to toss their used cups into. Then well burn them after they're dried out.

Other drinks we're planning or considering:

Sangria
Daiquiris

Tonight (April 25, 2006) Robin confirmed that the shaved ice makes a pretty tasty margarita! Of course, that was with Hornitos Tequila!
